Beyond Byzantium: A Study of Yeats’s Transcendental Problem in his Later Poetry

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to trace Yeats’s efforts toward an ultimatereconciliation of the contrary forces of human experience as they are reflected in hislater poetry written Beyond Byzantium, and to explore the relationship betweenexistential awareness and artistic vitality.
