Civilization’s Circulation and Humans

Abstract

This paper is to look closely at Yeats’s concept of civilization and human life. Yeats thinks that civilizations continue to come and go; that is, civilization is constantly in a state of flux. Human life changes over time. Yeats considers human thinking the central issue of human life, emphasizing the importance of searching for the essential and true aspects of human life and thoughts.

초록

이 글은 예이츠가 정의하고 있는 문명과 인간의 모습을 고찰하기 위한 것 이다. 예이츠는 하나의 문명이 중심은 분명 존재하지만 영구적으로 변함없이 존재하는 것이 아니라 탄생과 성장 및 소멸과정을 경유한다는 주장을 펼치고 있다. 그리고 인간의 삶 역시 항구적일 수 없으므로 예이츠는 인간의 사고를 문제의 핵심으로 설정하면서 실 재 추구를 강조하고 있다.
