Cognitive Writingandreading in Yeats’s“Among School Children”

Abstract

What is the imaginary mental domain of oneness between dance anddancer in Yeats’s “Among School Children”? This paper is to apply the basictheoretical insights of cognitive poetics to his ineffable mental state and interpret hispoetic mind which demonstrates the polysemous readingandwriting mentality, orshifters. His imaginative neutral mind is called writingandreading cognitions in threemind domains, cognitive, affective, and conative.

예이츠 시 “어린 학생들 속에서”의 인지론적 쓰/읽기

시인이며 저술가인 문학박사 한태호는 관동대 교양학과 교수였으며, 현재 토론토 요크대 인지철학과 석사학위과정을 수료하고 논문을 저술하고 있다.

초록

본 논문은 예이츠 시 “어린 학생들 속에서”에 나타난 춤과 춤추는 자의 합일성을 시인의 마음의 변화성으로 해석한다. 그 시 의식을 인지론적으로 접근하며, 그 합일성의 정도를 가능세계로 재음미해본다. 예이츠의 시심은 인지적 마음과 감성적 마음, 실행적 마음 중에서 시적 지성과 감성의 조화성만을 드러낸다.
